The Futures Visit The Emerald Cup Fest, Near Space Labs in the Stratosphere, GemStyx Personal Extractor, Aging in Shifts, AI Finishes Beethoven's unfinished 10th, Visit Chernobyl Control Room, Jeremy Jacobs on the Cannabus, Genetic Dating

Listen Now to The Dr. Mrs. Future Show 12.17.2019

This week’s show includes some interviews we did at the Emerald Cup, the longest running sun grown cannabis celebration, contest and farmers market in the world. With increasing legalization around thecountry for cannabis products, many entrepreneurs are trying their hand at making a living in the field. For today’s show we get a feel for the growing market from folks at Bio365, providing premium soil for the burgeoning industry, and a tour of the ‘Cannabus’, the first legal mobile cannabis dispensary, by Jeremy Jacobs, a young  energetic entrepreneur from Kentucky.  We also hear from Barry Brilliant, helping to bring GemStx, a personal extractor to market. Personal what? Well, it’s kind of a like a personal distillery, but for cannabis. Make oil on the spot from your favorite buds. Exciting times in the Cannabis industry!

We also look at  Near Space Labs and their low cost stratospheric imaging plans, new research in how we age in shifts (faster at ages 34, 60, 78), visiting the Chernobyl Control Room for your bucket list, how a musical AI is working on Beethoven’s 10th, his unfinished symphony, and a new genetic-based dating service as a way of avoiding inherited diseases. Enjoy, and Happy Holidays from us both!

Interview - Karl Maret, MD, MEng on Electromagnetics and Health

Listen Now to Dr. Karl Maret

Trained in both medicine and engineering, Dr. Maret is uniquely qualified to give us a deeper view of

painting by Alex Grey

how electromagetic emissions, such as those generated by our mobile and wifi devices, are affecting our health and well-being.  He has also studied how electromagnetics may be used as  healing tools, ‘electro-pharmaceuticals’, if you will.  So what to do about the upcoming 5G technologies and satellite internet systems now coming online?  Dr. Maret speaks to us on these issues, and related topics, such as thermal exposure limits, energy medicine, Rife technology and resonance, penetrating the Blood Brain Barrier, and Navy studies on microwave radiation on the body.

Future News - TEDx SC review, Virgin Galactic Stock Leap, Sharing DNA, Dr. Bruce Damer on Climate Mitigation

Listen Now to Future News 12.10.2019

What a great experience we had at TEDx Santa Cruz this last weekend, touching tentacles with some amazing minds in our community, folks we hope to introduce to you over the coming year on Dr. Future. And in its quest to take humans for a space ride, Virgin Galactic is now on the New York Stock Exchange and have patents that will allow them to build hypersonic aircraft, planes that can carry passengers to any place on Earth at speeds faster than sound.

After projects exploring the capture of asteroids and investigating the origins of biological life, Dr. Bruce Damer returns to the show and speaks of his current initiative in creating a new think tank consortium uniting governments with business and academia, focused on mega-engineering projects for mitigating climate change. Enjoy!

Lunar Radio Telescope Activated, Ocean Reefs Renewed with Sound, Plastic from Bananas, and KSCO Radio Engineers Richard B. Luther II, and Bill Graff on 5G Radio Frequency and Health

Listen Now to the Dr.Mrs.Future Show with radio engineers Richard B. Luther II and Bill Graff on 5G

After our scintillating future news segment we introduce you to KSCO’s radio engineer and ex-NASA scientist, Richard B. Luther II, who starts with a brief history of mobile radio communications, taking us from the early days of 100 lbs of electronics in the trunk to tomorrow’s 5G cellular networks.

Richard also tells us of a large number of studies done on the potential hazards of RF. To understand the potential interaction of radio frequencies with biology he makes the point that you need to track the frequency, power level, and duration of exposure.

L-R Radio Engineers Richard B. Luther and Bill Graff discussing 5GKSCO’s other station engineer, Bill Graff, then joins the discussion to share his work and insights into RF, having worked with powerful radio transmitters for over 40 years on a daily basis. As you might imagine, we field quite a few calls, with many listeners very concerned about the potential negative health effects of the new 5G cellular networks.

Richard makes the very good point that the specific frequencies for U.S. 5G carriers have not as yet been settled, with AT&T proposing 39 Ghz, Verizon 28 Ghz, and T-Mobile rolling out with the well-known (and considered biologically safe) 600 Mhz band.

It’s still early in the game, but the debate for the future of mobile communication is on! And let us not forget that there are other options arising, should 5G prove to be too hazardous for our health. Take Project Starlink, for example… Enjoy!
