109 Future Now Show - Earthquake Warning System Works! DOGE, the IRS, and Palantir, Women in Space, Fighting Cancer with Immune Rejection System, Underground Water on Mars, Fungus metabolizes Gold, Declassified CIA report on Aliens turning humans (who look) into Limestone, OpenAI plans new Social Network

Good news if you live in the California or the Pacific Northwest - The governrment early warning earthquake network is now up and operational, giving you precious seconds before you feel the tremors!  Get the app “My Shake” if you want to be extra ready!  If you haven’t received all your Covid stimulus checks, Bobby has some tax advice for you, and DOGE with Palantir has some advice for the IRS, as they plan a mega API for the service, one network to service us all.. Welcome back Katy, now an ‘astronaut’ via Blue Origin’s Shepard rocket, along with a group of female friends.  A new approach to cancer therapy looks promising, tricking the body to have a rejection immune response to cancerous tumors..and it appears that certain fungi can help us ‘mine’ gold with minimal environmental impact, and provide a new way to extract the precious metal from remote asteroids. Our fav AI co-hosts, Larry and Mary tackle this topic as well as a strange UAP incident in the Ukraine.  Back at home it appears that OpenAI is planning to start a new social network to compete with X, Facebook, etc. Lots to share this week, enjoy!

Listen Now Dr. Future News 10.01.13

Despite the government shutdown, there is a lot of interesting news this week for us to peruse.  We had a rather spirited conversation this week on cosomologist Steven Hawkings musings loading one’s brain into a computer, a worthy candidate for such a procedure if there ever was one!

And then there is Mars, which apparently once had a lot of water (as in this pic), and now has been shown to have  2% water in it’s rocks, an abundance of the liquid, enough to not just create drink for biological life forms, but enough to create fuel for rockets, turbines, and other essential technologies for colonization.

Geologist Richard Ely also suggested that there was enough water to create a carbon dioxide atmosphere for the planet, which could warm the place a bit, making it more palatable for ours and other mammalian species.  Sure, you can’t breathe CO2, but its good for plants and other life forms…
