17 Future Now Show - A Sign from Space, New Alien Theory, Axiom on ISS, Master Now recites AI poetry on the Futures, Sam David on Sound Healing

A fun show today, on the eve of SETI’s “A Sign in Space,” experiment from Mars, challenging citizen scientists to decipher an alien transmission coming from Martian orbit. This inspired call-ins on the alien theme, including a new idea on how and why they would come visit the likes of us.
Also of significance this week is our interview with shamanic sound healer Sam David, who educates us onSam David -Sound Healer his craft and demonstrates his throat singing and digeridoo skills.  The sounds were so potent that our internet connection was interrupted by their presence! Fortunately there is editing, which was necessary to give you the full experience of his demo!  For those new to the concept, sound healing is the use of specific instruments, music, tones, and other sonic vibrations to balance and heal the body, mind, and spirit. It involves using specialized sound frequencies to create a therapeutic atmosphere to promote deep rest, nervous system rebalancing, and emotional release.
In the final segment of today’s show, Master Now checks in from Georgia and recites a poem about Dr. and Sunny Future, with a little help from ChatGPT.. Enjoy!

Future News - ISS Dodges Disaster, SLS Counts down to T-29 sec., Sonic Levitation Advance, Starship passes Environmental Hurdles, Homage to JJ Webb, Meta's latest VR headsets, Neighborhood Whirlpool Turbine Power

Another amazing friend has passed, a pioneer in tech and the arts, JJ Webb. We speak of him today and some of his accomplishments in space tech and online poetry.  In space news, the ISS dodged some space junk, NASA’s giant rocket, known as SLS (Space Launch System), had a mostly successful wet test with fuel on the launchpad, and Space X has to address more environmental concerns as it makes its way to its next launch. And closer to home, Zuck himself outlines the features of three new experimental VR headsets, and we look at a new small whirlpool hydro-power generator, small enough to work on neighborhood rivers and canals, powering up to 60 homes! And one of our phone calls this week asked Dr. Future what his vision was for Santa Cruz in 5-10 years.  Enjoy!

Future News and Views - ISS Mishap, The Autonomous Mayflower and the Kracken, MD Roundtable on current crises, Dr. Michael Arnold, Corrina McFarlane on Liminal Perception, Ryan Sarnataro on his Birthday

Thank goodness the ISS got straightened out after a potentially serious misfiring of Russian thruster nozzles Michael Arnold, M.D. L.Acand we can focus on other news, like the Awareness Foundation’s rountable discussion with fourteen high-profile doctors, all specialists in their own fields, coming  together to discuss the dangers that we all face from the Covid 19 pandemic. They discuss in detail the merits and the dangers posed by the vaccines and related mandates. Today’s show features an 11 minute excerpt from the Roundtable, with discussion following with Dr. Michael Arnold, M.D., following.
Also this week we have in the studio one of our community’s wise elders, Corrine McFarlane, who provides us with some tools for navigating these perilous waters of cultural anxiety.  My favorite is her download on Liminal Awareness, a creative flow state from which many solutions arise. Corrine’s husband, Ryan Sarnataro, also joins us with his wisdom and joy, as today is his birthday!
